Seven stages if one's life old age is one among them...

The complete life, the perfect pattern, includes old age as well as youth and maturity. The beauty of the morning and the radiance of noon are good, but it would be a very silly person who drew the curtains and turned on the light in order to shut out the tranquillity of the evening. Old age has its pleasures, which, though different, are not less than the pleasures of youth.

Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.

The existing problem against old people is rising rapidly. Why do youth forget that one day you also have to become old?Its a cycle which everyone has go through and accept it also.this issue touched me while i was working with Diya foundation in Delhi a NGO.There I was given a chance to visit old age home. When I met them spent some time with them and got to know their stories. One thing which hurts me the most is that why children forget that what you are today is all because of your parents and when you become something in life u kick your parents out by saying that now you have grown old we cant take care of you.sounds strange that this happens in our Indian culture which we are proud of.Throughout their life they secure us when it comes to secure them we step back.

Its a priveldge to grow up with your grandparents which i din't have, so one who can get it let them be.

  1. Check out this poem called Ulysses. It highlights the importance of not losing enthusiasm and zeal even when one enters the phase of old age.
